If it matters enough to link to, it matters enough to save.
- Use the Wayback Machine's "Save Page Now" feature on the URL you care about.
- Keep the archived snapshot URL alongside the original when you cite or reference the page - the snapshot survives even if the original goes down or gets edited.
- For pages you expect to change over time (not just disappear), check whether the Wayback Machine already has historical snapshots - useful for seeing what a page used to say.
